INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the New York Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Genbu-Kai Web page. Our intention is to introduce our system of karate to fellow martial artists, and to keep martial artists informed of any upcoming events we either hold or participate in.
In this Website you will find not only general information about our organization, but also informative material about Karate, and other interesting facts about our martial arts discipline. We welcome any comments, suggestions, and input that you might have about our site, and its content.

FACILITIES

Our organization offers two facilities in the Syracuse area. One is located south of Syracuse in the town of LaFayette, and we just opened another in the Fayetteville area, East of Syracuse. For specific information about each one of these facilities, click on the corresponding button above. If you plan to visit us, check our Maps and Directions page.

PERSONNEL

The Karate-Do Genbu-Kai is a Nationally large organization, which is distributed in practically every state of the country. The head director in the U.S.A. is Sensei Demura, who very frequently visits the other branches in the country. In New York, Karate-Do Genbu-Kai is directed by Sensei Hobbib, based in the town of Oneonta. Sensei Moore oversees in the Central New York area, with two facilities near Syracuse.
Then, we have several high-ranking students, that provide qualified training assistance to the rest of the class, as Instructors Assistants under the supervision of Sensei Moore. Also, there are volunteers and helpers that are always available during our classes and events, not only to contribute with the development of our organization, but also to provide additional support and encouragement to our students.

Prices vary depending on level, membership length, frequency of classes, age, season, and other possible issues..
We provide packages that can be customized for specific needs, according to class availability and our different schedules.

MAPS AND DIRECTIONS

Since they are graphics, MAPS are presented in the full version of this Website. So, here we only provide (in text form) verbal directions to either one of our facilities:
FOR LAFAYETTE: Exit 13 of Interstate route 81, towards LaFayette. At the traffic light (route 20 and route 11 interception), take route 11 south for about 100 yards; we are on the right-hand side.
FOR Fayetteville: There are many different ways you can go to our facilities in Fayetteville, depending on where you are coming from. We are half mile East from the former Fayetteville mall on route 5, towards Fayetteville, on the left hand side, at the intersection of Limestone Plaza, before the bridge, straight across from Highbridge Street.
